Elena (Eliza Eves) is in a frenzy, tearing through the living room in search of her elusive cellphone. Her stepfather, Nate (Ryan Driller), saunters in with a knowing smile, holding the missing phone. 'Left it in the kitchen,' he teases. Elena's gratitude turns to disappointment as she checks her phone—no new messages. It's Valentine's Day, and her boyfriend has been silent for two days. Nate, feeling neglected by his own wife, suggests a Valentine’s celebration of their own. Elena's eyes light up at the idea, and Nate vows to make it a day she won't forget. Meanwhile, Holly (Laney Grey) is taken aback when her older sibling, Andrea, returns home unexpectedly from her waitressing gig. After some digging, Holly discovers Andrea's been sacked—again. It’s her third job loss this year, and with rent looming, Holly's frustration boils over.
